Hi! I’m Violet (she/her), a non-binary person living in Singapore.

This blog is where I explore and write about my gender identity. Here you’ll find personal stories and experiences, as well as thoughts about gender identity and expression. This is, essentially, a public journal as I transition towards my authentic self.

The name Quilted Bird is a depiction of how I view myself. I am a patchwork of emotions, experiences, and desires. Chaotic and haphazard and yet, beautiful and somehow cohesive. Perhaps the bird can be said to represent freedom and exploration, but in truth it’s simply because I think birds are super adorable. See how the pigeons waddle and the sparrows hop and the crows go caw-caw!
